How We Showed Up in October — Purpose, People, and Community

October was full of action at USAble Life. Across our social channels, employee resource groups, and local partnerships, our team focused on making a real difference. Here’s a look back at how we showed up this month and why it matters.

Standing together against breast cancer

Throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we used our platform to champion a message that saves lives: early detection matters. Health awareness starts with open, supportive conversations, which is why we actively encouraged awareness and education in both our workplace and local community. By keeping health top of mind, we help protect the well-being of the people and families we serve every day.

Bringing hope to families in need

We were proud to sponsor and attend the Evening of Goodness, an inspiring event dedicated to supporting the mission of Goodness Village in Little Rock, Ark. The evening brought together community leaders, sponsors, volunteers, and advocates united by a shared commitment to helping families facing serious medical challenges. Partnering with Goodness Village ensures that families navigating tough medical journeys have a safe, comfortable, and supportive place to find hope when they need it most.

Giving back to local students

Giving back locally is core to who we are, and this month our team members volunteered at McDermott Elementary School in Little Rock, Ark. Our volunteers helped support the school’s Scholastic Book Fair and Christmas Gift Program, ensuring more students have access to books and holiday gifts in the upcoming season. Lending a hand in our neighborhood schools helps build a stronger community, fosters a love for reading, and spreads a little extra holiday cheer to local kids.

Recognized as a top workplace

October brought exciting news for our internal culture. USAble Life was named one of Arkansas’ Best Places to Work for the 11th time, ranking among the Top 5 large companies in the state. A supportive workplace directly translates into better service for our customers. Earning this honor again proves that when our teammates feel valued, empowered, and supported, extraordinary things happen across the entire organization.

Highlighting the value of protection

We also had the opportunity to hear from Executive Vice President, Market Solutions, Greg Poulakos on why group life insurance remains one of the most vital benefits employers can offer today. Because life is full of unexpected moments, providing clear guidance on financial protection helps employers give their employees peace of mind. Our team is dedicated to helping people safeguard their families’ financial futures when it matters most.

The big picture

October was a powerful reminder that our work extends far beyond insurance. Whether we are raising health awareness, volunteering in local classrooms, or building a workplace where people thrive, everything we do comes back to serving our community and protecting people. Thank you to our teammates, partners, and advocates for making October such a meaningful and impactful month!
