Customers Impacted by Hurricane Helene

At USAble Life, we understand that recovering from a disaster takes time and requires patience and support — we’re committed to doing all we can to help our customers impacted by recent storms.

USAble Life is following all state guidelines issued by each impacted state’s Department of Insurance (DOI) that guide how we manage claim follow-up for additional information and/or proof of loss, addressing policy cancellations associated with premium delinquency, etc.

Claims Response

  • In the coming days, our Claims department will be reaching out to current claimants impacted by the storm to discuss special provisions, which will include:
  • Relaxing deadlines to get medical information prior to closing a claim
  • Adjusting the Actively at Work requirements for temporary loss of the workplace or ability to get to the workplace
  • Allowing a claim check to be mailed to an alternate address
  • Relaxing review of paid through dates for employers

Premium Grace Period

Grace periods on policy premiums will be based on state-specific mandates/guidelines.
