Recently, Florida Combined Life and USAble Life sponsored THRIVE! — benefitting the Women’s Center of Jacksonville (WCJ). The WCJ is a community-based resource center dedicated to improving the lives of women through advocacy, support, and education. As the only certified rape crisis center for Duval, Nassau, and Baker counties in Florida, the WCJ also provides rape recovery services for individuals of all genders.

When asked to sponsor the event, there was no hesitation from USAble Life’s Ed Murphy, executive vice president, market solutions. With our sponsorship came the opportunity for our team to attend THRIVE! and hear the brave and encouraging stories from three women who forever had their lives changed. Yet, through the difficulties, they chose to rise above it all.
“Hearing the stories from each of the women was both empowering and encouraging,” said Stephanie Dvoroznak, regional product director. Stephanie attended the event with seven other colleagues, Stephanie Chieppa, Tanya Kinsey, Rebecca Taylor, Amy Cain, Donna Navarrete, Marlisa Yorke, and Val Adams.
