Erin Scoggins Graduates from Leadership Greater Little Rock

We’re proud to share that Erin Scoggins, senior director, human resources business Partnership, graduated from Leadership Greater Little Rock (LGLR) on May 31 as part of Class XXXVIII. Erin joins past graduates, including Jerald Martin, senior director, underwriting & implementation Services, as alumni of this great program.

Erin said, “When I applied for Leadership Greater Little Rock, I was looking for an opportunity to learn more about the community where I was born and raised. I was looking for ways to grow myself as a leader. I gained that and so much more from this experience.”

The LGLR program is hosted annually by the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce. It’s a nine-month community leadership program committed to enhancing and connecting leaders from businesses, nonprofits, and government. LGLR was established in 1985; its aim is to develop a network of competent leaders for present and future community needs. The program offers a comprehensive understanding of our region’s challenges and opportunities with the mission of making a noticeable, positive difference in the quality of life in the greater Little Rock area.

Each month, from September to May, the class meets at a different central Arkansas location to explore topics through expert speakers, panelists, tours, and group presentations. A two-day retreat is held in November as part of participation in the class.

Michelle Harding, chief legal and people officer, said, “USAble Life greatly appreciates the participation of our employees in the LGLR program. We are thrilled that Erin is our most recent graduate. This program connects our leaders in ways that benefit USAble and the community it calls home.”

Erin admitted that she has always struggled with confidence in certain situations. She said, “This experience pushed me to go beyond my past limitations, and it became evident that what we do as leaders is not only for the community but with the community.” Erin continued, “I am thankful for the new community I have with LGLR Class XXXVIII and for the amazing community I serve with at USAble Life.”
