We would like to recognize Jerald Martin, senior director, underwriting and implementation services, for recently graduating from Leadership Greater Little Rock (LGLR), Class XXXVI. Jerald said, “I was honored and humbled to join the LGLR program. It is a very competitive program, and I am grateful for the support of my manager and the leadership team.”
LGLR is a nine-month community leadership program committed to enhancing and connecting leaders from businesses, nonprofits, and government and empowering participants with a comprehensive understanding of the region’s challenges and opportunities. Jerald said, “While the program focuses on various issues throughout local communities, we also learned about our leadership styles and how to be more effective as leaders and peers.” The program covers a full slate of topics, including government, the area’s economy, education, and social services. The sessions combine lectures, tours, dialogue, and interaction between speakers and participants that allow leaders to learn from one another. He said, “Working with leaders in other industries taught us how to assess and address issues outside of our usual purview.”
