At USAble Life, we believe in the power of making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. In honor of MLK Day of Service, USAble Life’s BELIEF — Black Employees Leading in Inclusion, Excellence, and Financial Empowerment — Employee Resource Group challenged USAble Life teammates to join in a day of service. They embraced the call to actively seek out opportunities where teammates could act upon Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy of social justice and equity through engaging in volunteer activities to strengthen community bonds.
Individuals and their families from USAble Life’s Little Rock, Ark., location participated as a collective group at a food drive. The food drive was just one of many of the 2023 King Holiday Day of Impact events hosted by the Arkansas Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission, a division of the Arkansas Department of Education. Volunteers assisted at various volunteer stations, including packaging food boxes/bags, directing traffic, loading items into vehicles, and cleaning up.
Dowayne Peterson, manager, business systems, said, “It was so great to see our teammates and members of the community come together for a day of service to give back to others in need.”
